Early Years news 11th May
A big thank you to Reuben’s family for bringing in some baby chicks for us to see. The children were very excited and took turns giving them a gentle stroke. We learned all about how to take care of them.
The pre-schoolers have been helping to make their snacks by buttering their own toast at snack time. We are trying to encourage more independence in preparation for them starting school. They are also changing for PE by themselves. You can continue this at home by encouraging them to get dressed by themselves and giving them some tasks to complete.
We have been making the most of any dry weather and using our lovely outside space. The children have especially been enjoying some messy sensory play and made ‘hot chocolate’ this week.
We had a fantastic time celebrating the Coronation last week, the children all looked fabulous dressed in their finery. There were lots of crafts, baking and a special afternoon tea over at school. The children also made up their own game for PE, The King is in his den.
As ever please get in touch or pop in if there is anything you’d like to discuss.
