Early Years news 30th March 2023
We are still continuing with our theme of space which the children have really enjoyed and engaged with. For one of our ICT and Maths activities the children have been using the Bee Bots which they have been programming to move around our solar system.
We have been checking in on our sunflowers to see how much they’ve grown since we planted them. The children used rulers to measure their height and they have grown a whole 2cm since we last checked!
We had fun using old milk bottles to make bubbles with some soapy water for our science activity. We experimented with different ways of making the bubbles!
As part of our sensory / messy play we used crushed up Weetabix on our tuff trays. We used diggers and trucks to transport the ‘sand’ around and also hid some spiders and insects in the ‘sand’.
As we count down to the Easter break we have been having a great time doing lots of lovely Easter activities.
We’ve been working on our fine motor skills by threading to make some lovely Easter Eggs, made some chocolate nests, cards and baskets and taken part in the FOLSS Bunny Hop with our Y5 buddies!
We hope you all have a lovely break over Easter and look forward to hearing all about what the children have been up to on their return.
