Early Years news 3rd March 2023
What an exciting start to the term we’ve had discovering SPACE!
It has been incredible to hear how much the children already know about Space. This week we have made some paper-mache planets and have been learning about the names of the planets, their sizes and what those planets are like.
We’ve also enjoyed getting messy and searching in our space jelly for moon rocks and space men!
Emma very kindly made us our very own spaceship! The children have had so much fun pretending to be astronauts and have shown great patience to take turns having a go.
We’ve really enjoyed seeing the children all dressed up for World Book Day. Thank you all for making so much effort and bringing in your favourite books to share. Emma re-enacted the story of Little Lumpty who climbs up the wall with the help of his friends.
The children made and decorated their own biscuits this week, we had great fun mixing the dough and counting out the sweets for decorating.
Thank you so much if you have volunteered to attend as a helper for one of our sessions. We are just putting together some suggested dates and will be in touch.
If this is something you are interested in and have not yet volunteered please let us know, the children really do love having their special adult in to stay.
As always please feel free to get in touch if there is ever anything you want to discuss. Alternatively, we are always happy to have a chat at drop off or pick up.
