Parent feedback from our December 2020 Questionnaire
SECTION 1 – QUALITY OF CARE AND SUPPORT
“Excellent staff. Vicki in particular is extremely informative and quick at replying to emails”.

SECTION 2 – QUALITY OF STAFFING

“Its obvious in the queue for drop ff that all children love going to LSEY. As it isn’t possible to have parents inside during the pandemic it is reassuring that the children clearly love all the staff. I’ve never had any concerns at all”.

SECTION 3 – QUALITY OF MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP
“The manager at LSEY is very hands on and always present at drop off and pick up, making it easy and accessible to discuss and needs/concerns parents may have”.

SECTION 5 – COVID-19
Please could you comment on how you feel LSEY have supported you and your families during the COVID-19 pandemic (so far)
“Very reassuring, Competent with Health and Safety”
“Very well, it has been difficult for everyone”.
“You have all done an outstanding job as always. I cannot thank you enough for all of your support and kindness to my child during the pandemic. You have been her “normal” throughout and we think so highly of you all”.
“LSEY have taken all necessary precautions in preventing the spread of the virus without making the setting a scary place for the children to be”.
“LSEY have done a good job in a very difficult situation”.
“Asking families doing afternoon drop off to wait out of the way is a good idea”.
“The communication has been excellent even whilst the setting had to close to all but key workers children. I felt very supported with my child’s development whilst staying at home and appreciated the regular activity suggestions”.
“I feel that LSEY have coped really well throughout and are still very approachable to speak to either one to one or email. My child loves to go to see the staff and friends at LSEY. Any problems raised are dealt with easily”.
“With my child being high risk, I feel her importance has been taken into consideration. I have numerous exceptions from wearing a mask, Vicki is aware I struggle with confrontation and I am most grateful I’ve not been challenged for not wearing a mask”.
“During lockdown, the communication we received was great. My child really enjoyed the weekly activities that were sent out. Since September Covid-19 updates have been communicated well, we all feel safe and know if we have any concerns staff are approachable”.

“LSEY were really supportive when in lockdown in Spring 2020. Lots of activities suggested and very prompt replies to photos and messages sent back to LSEY. My children started back in July 2020 and have not been anxious or worried about the pandemic. This is partly down to the sensible, caring approach at LSEY”.
“Communication was very good from LSEY during lockdown, with weekly emails with ideas for play and resources. Vicki always responds to emails and commented on the photos that we sent in – we really appreciated this, it felt like a real partnership. Concerns were heard when my son was due to start back we were reassured by Vicki. My child’s TAC meeting still took place, albeit virtually, and meant continual care. This is at a time when we were informed that we were having a reduced service from the Health Visitor and were also closed to Speech and Language, all due to the pandemic. LSEY were there for my son when no-one else was”.
“LSEY have been very good throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, always keeping us updated through email about any changes so it has made me feel at ease and comfortable when my child is at LSEY”.
