Weekly News 4th February 2022

This week the children have enjoyed pretending to be Jungle animals to link in with our theme of ‘Down in the Jungle’. We have used the jungle animal role play masks to help us with this… for some reason they all enjoyed being ‘roaring’ Lions, Tigers, and Cheetah’s. We also used the musical instruments to recreate the sounds these different jungle animals make.
We have painted ‘stripy tigers’, ‘spotty cheetah’s’ ‘Cheeky monkeys’, ‘green slithery snakes’ and many more jungle animals.
We have also enjoyed lots of outside play… using the ride on toys on the playground, and exploring the mud kitchen.
The children have really enjoyed exploring the gloop (corn flour and water) talking about the differences they could feel from when it was dry to how it changed when we added the water. Later, we also added powder paint to see what would happen.
