Weekly News 21st January 2022
This week our rhyme has been Old MacDonald. The children have really enjoyed this rhyme, learning about all the different animals and how the farmer looks after them. In the creative area we have made Pink Pigs, Black and White Cows, Fluffy White and Rainbow sheep, Yellow feathery Chickens and we have also drawn Old MacDonald.
We have sorted the coloured farm animals into groups and explored the sensory farm resources, we even used the sticks to make fences to keep the animals in!
We have also explored what happens to water when it is left out in this cold weather, “it’s turned to ice” we then explored what happened to it when we brought it inside.
We have revisited Mazes again which the children really enjoyed, this time making ‘arrows to show the way’.
To link with the Maths Champion programme this week we have been going on number hunts, the task was to place a certain number of objects into the numbered buckets…why not have a go at doing this at home.
